The passion for creativity and art drives us to create and we all find ourselves gathered around the same fountain of creative tools… ADOBE.

But how do you learn it all??

Suzette Allen, Adobe Influencer and Lumix Ambassador will be returning to West Coast School to impart a fresh dose of creativity and fresh direction to quench your thirst to create! She will bring her techie husband Jon, as well, to help you navigate the deluge of information and software/hardware .

This Intermediate class will include

Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5 or CC,

Some great plugins, [Nik, Luminar, Topaz],

Mixer Brush painting, and 

Live Portraits [animated stills and video],

All the tools you need to make beautiful,  Interactive Art!

We will explore techniques that are good for portrait, art or landscape images, using stills, video and audio.

 Class Requirements:

COMPUTER: Laptop or Desktop Photoshop CS6 or CC (trial is ok) Lightroom 5 or CC (trial is ok) i5 processor (minimum), i7 processor preferred. Minimum 8 gig RAM

Minimum 10 gigs free hard drive space.

Mouse required. NO touchpads or trackpads please (tablet optional)

Google NIK Collection Plugins - Suite is Free from https://www.google.com/nikcollection/

Pro Show Web (free trial is ok) no limit or deadline on trial, from http://photodex.com.

OPTIONAL: Wacom Tablet (be sure to load the driver!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

DSLR or DSLM that will shoot stills and video. We will have a few Panasonic Lumix cameras if your camera will not shoot video.

Be sure to bring your CF/SD cards and a card reader. This is optional, as we will have some video clips to work with if you don’t want to shoot your own.

REQUIRED:

Five to ten of your favorite raw files to work on to “Make Magic.” (you will be asked to dropbox them to Suzette 30 days before class)

Computer with Photoshop and Lightroom LOADED AND ACTIVATED BEFORE COMING TO CLASS. Trial versions are fine as long as you are still in the 30 day window.

You should also have at least 10 gigs of free space on your internal hard drive. ProShowWeb.com, or a trial version (no expiration), is vital for the slide shows. Just create an account and log in!

** Computer note: We will be editing and watching VIDEO which takes a lot of processor speed. Please bring the most current or fastest computer you have. Many laptops do not have the ability to process video and it is very frustrating to not be able to keep up!

Bring a set of earbuds or headphones so we can all concentrate when everyone is listening to music to pick out for shows and videos!

If you have a tripod, bring it, and don't forget the mounting plate.

A monopod will work, but tripod is better.
