Flower Foto Fest

June 5, 2016

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Event Presented jointly by Paul’s Photo, LUMIX, and the South Coast Botanic Garden Foundation.

The Flower Foto Fest is a wonderful opportunity for photographers of all ages, skill levels, and interests. Join us for a bright summer day of exploring the variety of natural wonders at a local botanical garden. Experts from Paul’s Photo and representatives from  Panasonic Lumix will guide you through a full day of photographical education. The South Coast Botanic Garden offers photographers the opportunity to capture gorgeous images of plant and wildlife right here in the city. Home to many species of flora and fauna, the Garden is a diverse oasis not only of micro-ecosystems around the world, but also of the native plants and animals of Southern California. Visitors are invited to stroll through such themed areas as the Rose Garden, Mediterranean Garden, Banyan Grove, Desert Garden, Fuchsia Garden, WaterWise Garden, Dahlia Garden, Japanese Garden and Koi Pond, as well as the Garden for the Senses, which offers photographers not only the pleasure of indulging their sense of smell, but also their sense of sight. The raised plant beds also provide the perfect close-up setting for macro photography!

Hands-on workshops, staffed stations, and dynamic presentations will not only teach participants the techniques behind stunning outdoor photography but will further inspire the creativity in applying those techniques to each photographer’s unique artistic vision. All photographers are welcome, from the novice who desires to learn the basics of nature photography to the accomplished shutterbugs who are excited to explore new horizons while focusing on the art and science of outdoor photography.
